Fig-Prosciutto Pizza with Arugula

25 Mar

Tonight was just a throw something together night.    I had a can of pillsbury pizza this crust dough and some arugula — and this is what happened…. based on this recipe…  i used pre-shredded pizza cheese mix – next time i’ll definitely try the fresh mozz.  i’ll also go a little lighter on the fig preserves and a littler heavier on the salt.    totally forgot the parmesan shavings 😦    oh and i might try putting the pizza back in the oven for a couple minutes after putting on the  prosciutto.  but it sure was tasty as it was 🙂

  • preheat oven to 500
  • line baking sheet with parchment paper
  • roll out dough on to baking sheet
  • drizzle olive oil over the dough
  • sprinkle with kosher salt
  • spread fig preserves over dough
  • cover with Mozzarella
  • bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly
  • Remove from oven and immediately lay prosciutto over hot pizza.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle on arugula and Parmesan shavings.
