Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bars

We (me and the kids) love Nutella. I smear my waffles with it every morning. My sons favorite food is a chocolate sandwich. So when jif came out with their own chocolate spread I was skeptical. I had a coupon so I bought a jar of the mocha cappuccino variety figuring it was different enough. It’s ok but nothing like nutella. Not as smooth. So I searched for a recipe to use it up. These came out good, definitely rich. Too rich for me. The husband ended up eating most of it 🙂

Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bars
adapted from love from the oven

1 box of your favorite brownie mix
1 bag marshmallows
1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
1 cup Jif Mocha cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut Spread
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

Bake your brownies according to the recipe or mix directions, but take them out 2-3 minutes early. After taking them out, top with your marshmallows and immediately return to the oven for three more minutes.

While the marshmallow topped brownies are in the oven, you will want to mix up your yummy topping. Combine your chocolate chips, Jif Spread and butter in a medium size sauce pan. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Once melted, remove from heat and add in your crushed graham crackers. Allow to cool for three minutes.

Spread your mixture over your marshmallow layer. Refrigerate to allow chocolate to set prior to cutting.
